Cucumbers appeared in the gardens from tropical forests, where it is very humid and warm. And before you start growing this crop, you need to provide conditions that will be a little similar to the tropics. If cucumbers start to dislike the environment, they start to get sick.
Some diseases can cause rusty spots on cucumber leaves:
- cladosporiosis - light brown spots appear on the upper part of the leaf, and spider-like mycelium appears on the lower part;
- anthracnose – red spots, and they have even outlines;
- ascochyta blight – large spots, but its color is initially greenish;
- angular spotting is characterized by green oily spots, and greenhouse plants are most susceptible to this disease;
- With downy mildew, rusty spots appear, and they increase in size.
A pest called a spider mite can cause this problem in cucumbers.
