Why the ovary of cucumbers turns yellow and dries and how to solve this problem

If you notice that a lot of ovaries have formed on cucumbers, do not rush to triumph. Very often the ovaries stop growing and begin to dry out.

The most common reason for this phenomenon is that cucumbers lack nitrogen and potassium.

To determine what fertilizer should be added to the soil, you need to pay attention to the plant's leaves.

If the entire surface of a previously green leaf turns yellow, it means that the cucumber needs nitrogen. If the leaves turn yellow only at the edges, this picture indicates a lack of potassium.

At the same time, yellowing of the ovaries means that the plants' need for these substances has become critical.

Potassium nitrate will help to correct the situation. To obtain a solution intended for watering crops, dissolve 1 tablespoon of the drug in 10 liters of water.

Fertilizer should be applied to previously watered soil. As a preventive measure, 0,5 liters per bush once every two weeks will be enough.

Then, when cucumbers need treatment, increase the dosage to one liter and water the plants weekly.
