Western experts found out that the medicinal properties of some pills and drugs increase and decrease at certain times of the day. It is connected, first of all, with the biological rhythms of a person.
According to Robert Dellman, a specialist in chronotherapy from the University of Warwick in Britain, the biological clock controls the work process of our body. Yes, they dictate when it is better for us to rest, when we should engage in active activities. The benefit or harm from medicines also depends on this.
Dellman noted that it is best to take blood pressure medication before going to bed, but not after waking up. In the morning, according to the scientist, blood pressure rises naturally. At the same time, if you drink a pill at night, it will help to avoid the morning peak of pressure. Thus, by the way, you can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, which most often occur between six in the morning and 12 noon.
Analgesics, such as paracetamol, should also not be taken in the morning. Then the toxicity of the drug only increases, because in the early hours the level of the enzyme is the highest in the liver. Paracetamol will only contribute to an even greater concentration of it in the body, which can cause serious harm.
