At Ukrainian gas stations, owners of gasoline cars may encounter a wide range of fuels for their vehicles and often choose the most affordable brand, which is most likely A92.
Experts point out that this type of fuel is not only cheap, but also has qualities that make it better for winter driving than the same A95.
Less prone to freezing:
Low octane fuel solidifies at lower temperatures, which prevents paraffin from forming in the fuel system in cold weather. However, A95 can freeze at relatively low temperatures and cause problems with fuel lines and filters.
Best launch:
Due to its better volatility and combustibility, low-octane gasoline copes well with starting the engine even at the lowest temperatures, which cannot be said about high-octane fuel. Where the engine has difficulty starting on A95, A92 gasoline will easily start the engine.
Saving money:
A92 is the cheapest type of gasoline in Ukraine. If we are talking about systematic refueling, the savings are obvious.
It is worth understanding that the use of A92 is not acceptable for all cars due to its high tendency to detonation. Modern cars have an electronic control unit that adjusts the ignition and minimizes the consequences for an engine that is not designed to run on low-octane fuel, but problems can still occur if you drive on such gasoline constantly. It is especially not recommended to use A92 in turbocharged engines that are designed specifically to work with high-octane fuel.
