No matter how hard you try to keep your clothes clean, sometimes stains simply cannot be avoided. But while chocolate or ketchup stains are easy to deal with, diesel fuel on clothes is a real challenge even for experienced housewives. The editorial team of the “Dobrykh Novyn” website has selected two methods for you that will cope with even such a difficult task. And most importantly, you won’t need expensive store-bought products.
To remove a diesel fuel stain, mix dishwashing detergent and baking soda in a ratio of 1:2. First, pour a small amount of dishwashing detergent into a container and add baking soda to it, gradually turning the mixture into a paste. This paste must be applied to the stain, spreading it well over the contaminated area.

Leave the mixture on the stain for about half an hour. This will allow the product to effectively act on the greasy stain and break it down. After that, you can safely wash the clothes in the washing machine. This method works well on dark fabrics. There will be no trace of stains and pungent odors.
There is another method that allows you to remove stains from light fabrics. To do this, you need to mix one spoon of starch, a few drops of ammonia and turpentine. The resulting mixture can be applied to the stain using a cotton swab. Rub the mixture into the fabric carefully so that it evenly penetrates the contaminated area. Leave it for 5-10 minutes, and then simply wash the clothes using powder.
Both of these methods are suitable for quick fixes, as they do not require expensive or special tools. You can use them anytime you or your husband's clothes have a stain from caustic diesel fuel. Remember that it is better to work immediately on a "fresh" stain, so the chances of it disappearing are much greater. We wish you success!
