Volkswagen has released a new image of the ID Every 1 electric concept car, which will be fully revealed next month. The new affordable electric car is expected to be called the ID. 1.
The production version is due in 2027 with a base price of “around 20 euros.” It is expected to share a platform with the Polo-sized electric ID.000, but no technical details have yet been confirmed.
A new sketch released by the company shows that the city electric car will have massive, upright proportions and a distinctive new look with LED headlights.
Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schaefer called the unveiling of the new car a key moment for the company. It has not yet been confirmed whether the ID. 1 will be produced in Spain by Volkswagen, along with the ID. 2 and the related ID. 2 X crossover.
Volkswagen's head of technical development Kai Grünitz previously suggested that the new model will be a successor to the successful Up city car in its concept and will share some design elements and attributes from it.
