70-year-old British woman Tizi Godson received a response to her resume, sent 48 years ago.

Back in January 1976, Godson sent in her resume, asking to be hired as a motorcycle stuntwoman. She found her original resume letter in her mailbox in 2024.

It turned out that after being sent in 1976, Godson's letter was lost at the post office. In 2024, it was returned to her with a note at the top.

“Late delivery by Staines Post Office. Found behind a drawer. Only 50 years later.”

The woman herself said that returning her resume was something “amazing” for her.

“I always wondered why I didn’t get a job offer. Now I know why.”

Despite the fact that Godson was unable to find a job at the time, she nevertheless established a career that allowed her to travel the world.

Tizi Godson noted that she did not know who returned the letter to her or how it ended up in her possession.

"How they found me, if I've moved from place to place over 50 times and even changed countries four or five times, remains a mystery."

However, the woman added, she was pleased that even after several decades, the letter with her resume was returned to her. The British woman recalled writing it in her London apartment. She added that she waited for a response every day and was very disappointed that she did not receive one, because she really dreamed of becoming a motorcycle stuntwoman.

Eventually, Godson took on other jobs, including moving to Africa, where she was a snake charmer, a horse charmer, learned to fly, and became an aerobatics pilot and flight instructor.

Talking about her resume, Godson recalled that she tried to hide the fact that she was a woman because she was afraid that she would not even be invited for an interview.

“I even stupidly told them I didn’t care how many bones I broke, so I got used to it. It seems incredible to get a letter back after so long.”

Tizi Godson added that if she could talk to her younger self, she would “tell her to go and do everything I did.”

"I had such a great time of my life, even if I broke a few bones."
