The premieres of a series of electric auxiliary vehicles for the "Airport of the Future" convincingly demonstrated the approach of this special equipment to the revolutionary implementation of unmanned systems. This is stated in several publications on the FB page of the AeroTech Group of the Oshkosh Corporation, informs Auto.24.

At CES 2025 in January, the manufacturer showed off ground electric vehicles for airport baggage handling, refueling facilities and aircraft towing. Such special equipment is designed to travel along routes exclusively on controlled work sites, along predictable routes and perform tasks at low speeds.

The debut unmanned transporter for efficient luggage transportation between designated locations on the airport ramp has already been called a promising development by experts. This truck is equipped with LiDAR technologies for long-range optical machine vision, radars, cameras and the most advanced perception sensors, as well as object recognition systems.

Thanks to this and the embedded software, the baggage trolley tractor has received a fully autonomous solution. It already meets the rising demands of the airport logistics industry of the future.
