I offer you this recipe for the most delicious apple pie with caramelized apples! The crumbly dough and apples with a delicate creamy taste are just delicious!
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 3 eggs
- 170 g mayonnaise 67%
- 380-400 g flour + 20 g for dusting
- 50 g butter (for greasing)
- 2 tbsp. sugar (for sprinkling)
Toppings:
- 60 g butter
- 150 g of sugar
- 1 kg. apples (preferably firm varieties)
- cinnamon 0,5 tsp. optional
Preparation:
Dough:
I whisk the eggs, then add the mayonnaise and mix again until smooth.
I add the flour and knead a homogeneous dough. I cover it with cling film and leave it to rest for a few minutes.
Toppings:
In a frying pan, I heat the butter and add the sugar, melt it for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the apples cut into small cubes, mix. Fry until the apples release their juice and then another 5-7 minutes. At the end, you can add cinnamon if you wish. Leave to cool on a plate.
I divide the dough into 2 parts, roll it out into a thin layer on flour. I grease the entire layer with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar, and spread the cooled apple filling in a single row on one side.
I roll it up, doing the same with two pieces of dough. I put it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake it for 30-35 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.
I cut the rolls, decorate with powdered sugar and enjoy with tea and enjoy!
