The head of the Central Oil and Gas Commission, Andriy Kovalenko, emphasized that the refinery, in particular, produces fuel needed for enemy aircraft.

The refinery's processing capacity is 17,1 million tons of oil per year; it is one of the five largest refineries in the Russian Federation.

One of the largest refineries in Russia was attacked on the night of February 24. We are talking about the Ryazan Oil Refinery. This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CDC) Andriy Kovalenko on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the plant's processing capacity is 17,1 million tons of oil per year, making it one of the five largest refineries in the Russian Federation.

The factory produces:

    • petrol;

 

    • diesel fuel;

 

    • aviation kerosene;

 

    • oil fuel;

 

    • petrochemicals.

 

"A special role is played by aviation fuel, which is critically important for the front-line aviation of the Russian army and strategic long-range aviation that strikes Ukraine," Kovalenko noted.

As we already wrote, on the night of Monday, February 24, drones once again attacked the Ryazan oil refinery. The attack resulted in a major fire, Russian Telegram channels report.
