Billy Horschel was playing the first hole when an alligator suddenly crawled out of the pond onto the green.

The athlete was not at a loss, took the club and lightly poked the reptile in the face.

The crocodile returned to the water, and Billy received a standing ovation.

Horschel's colleagues now jokingly call him the alligator charmer.
