Often, gardeners may complain that the harvest is small and the fruits grow small. This happens because of mistakes made by the owner himself when growing.
5 mistakes: read and avoid them
Soil too dense
The soil needs to be loosened and dug periodically to create comfortable conditions for the growth of root crops. If this procedure is not carried out, the plant simply will not find space for itself to grow.
Very close landing
It is advisable to leave a distance of 80 centimeters between the bushes, and about a meter of space should remain between the rows. If you forget about this and plant vegetables too densely, they will experience a lack of moisture and will fight for nutrients from the soil. As a result, yields will decrease.
Lack of essential substances
Potatoes, like any crop, need fertilizing. For example, after flowering, it can be fertilized with potassium.
Poor quality seed material
Only large tubers will yield a good harvest. Therefore, potatoes should be sorted and inspected before planting.
Crop rotation
You can't plant the same crop in the same place year after year. The land will be poor in this case, since all the necessary substances have already gone with the previous harvest. It is also advisable to plant green manure between plantings, which renews the soil.
