In July 2024, a doorbell camera on Prince Edward Island, Canada, captured not only the meteorite's fall but also the sound of it hitting the ground, making it the first known recording of its kind.
The incident was made famous by Joe Velaidum and Laura Kelly, the owners of the house on whose doorstep the meteorite landed. When they returned home, they saw debris, and Laura's parents suggested they check the camera, which helped confirm their suspicions.
