The BBC reports that experts say Trump's new portrait.

Trump's inauguration portrait - what it looks like

In the new photo, the new US leader, who will officially become the 47th president on January 20, looks into the camera. Trump slightly squinted one eye and raised his eyebrows. He chose to pose without a smile.

As former White House photographer Eric Draper has noted, official presidential portraits are very important. These are the photos that appear most often in print and online media.

The photographer, who has done official portraits for George W. Bush twice, decided to analyze Trump's photo and noticed that a "hack" was used to create the photo, which is often used when people want to focus attention on the eyes.

It's about studio lighting. And after the shooting, Draper believes, the frame was also processed.

Alice Skye, a portrait photographer at the London Institute of Photography, said the lighting chosen for Trump gave him a “sinister” look, noting the similarity to the shots taken of boxers before their fights.

And Paul Duerinks, senior lecturer in documentary photography at Swansea College of Art, said he noticed another detail. He believed the lighting was intended to show Trump's seriousness and intentions.

Andrew Parsons, a political photographer who worked for four British prime ministers for 13 years, said the new portrait was not just a photo, but a direct message. Trump wanted to convey his resolute message, which lacks outright laughter and features a stern gaze, as if "into the barrel of a lens."

What is known about Trump's inauguration

On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump will officially become the 47th President of the United States of America. The inauguration ceremony will take place in Washington, D.C., and for the first time since 1985, it will be held indoors, under the Capitol dome. This decision was made due to expected low temperatures and weather conditions.

The festivities will begin with a morning service, followed by the official swearing-in ceremony. The move to the Capitol, which seats about 2 people, has made most tickets for the outdoor event invalid, causing inconvenience to many guests who planned to attend the inauguration.

Trump recently outlined his priorities for his first week in office, saying he intends to sign a “record” number of executive orders, with a focus on immigration and emergencies like the Los Angeles fires.

Trump's inauguration will feature a host of famous performers, including country singer Carrie Underwood, who will perform "America the Beautiful," and operatic tenor Christopher Macchio, who will perform the U.S. national anthem. Country musician Lee Greenwood will also perform "God Bless the USA."
