The businessman claims that one of the functions of the smartphone caused his divorce from his beloved wife.
A British businessman is suing Apple after divorcing his wife, who found deleted messages he sent to sex workers on another device.

The character in this story said that in recent years he used the services of prostitutes, communicating with them using iMessage applications on his iPhone.
When the spicy dialogue ended, the man deleted all the messages. However, as it turned out, the chats were stored in parallel on the iMac family computer.
"If they tell you the message has been deleted, you expect it. It was a painful way for my wife to find out about the infidelity. If I could have talked to her without emotion, maybe we could have saved the marriage."
After all, we have a family, children. In my opinion, it's all Apple's fault. The messages were supposed to be deleted, but they were not. It is necessary to warn: "The message has been deleted on this device" or even better "These messages have been deleted only on this device," he said in an interview.
The British man filed a lawsuit against the company for more than 5 million pounds (250 million hryvnias) - that's how much money he lost due to the divorce.
Simon Walton of the London law firm Rosenblatt, who represents the interests of the businessman, said in an interview with the Telegraph that Apple had not explained to users what was happening with the messages they sent and received.
"In many cases, the iPhone informs the user that the message has been deleted, but as we have seen, this is not true and misleads the callers, because the dialogues are stored on other devices connected to it. For some reason, Apple does not tell its users about this," he said.
