How to make a snack from salted lemons

It is very easy to prepare such a preparation, and the taste is incredible. Salted lemons are used as a snack or added to favorite dishes.

Ingredients (for a 3 liter jar):

  • lemons - 2 kg;
  • salt - 300 g;
  • chili pepper - 2 pc.;
  • bay leaf - 4 pcs.;
  • garlic - 4 cloves;
  • oil - 3 tbsp. L.;
  • a little warm water.

Step by step preparation

  1. First, you should thoroughly wash the lemons in warm water with a brush or sponge. Fruits are chosen in small sizes so that it is convenient to put them in a jar and take them out.
  2. Cut each lemon crosswise, not to the end, so that the fruit retains its shape in the future.
  3. Fill the slices of lemons with salt, press them well and place them in a jar of the appropriate size.
  4. Hot chili pepper, bay leaf and garlic cloves are added to the jar. The remains of salt are poured there and oil is poured in.
  5. Pour water so that it completely covers the fruit. Place a cellophane bag or cling film on top of the neck of the jar, and tightly screw the lid on.
  6. Shake the jar well, carefully roll it on the table so that all the salt is evenly distributed throughout the jar. After that, it is removed and left to infuse for 2 months at room temperature.
