Spathiphyllum, or the houseplant “female happiness”, can often be seen in the homes of housewives. They say that the flower brings prosperity to the home, gives a woman energy and strength. But so that the plant does not disappoint with yellowness and rotting, it is worth knowing the basic rules of care.
Details
If a spathiphyllum suddenly starts to wilt and die, women often perceive this as a dangerous signal that not everything is safe in the house and it's time to save love. But first of all, you need to try to reanimate the flower itself.
If the leaves turn black and wilt, try not to overwater the plant, as too much water is harmful to it. It is important to ensure that there is no stagnation of water - it should drain into the pan within 15 minutes after watering.
Dryness is another extreme that negatively affects the flower. If the leaves have softened and lost their elasticity, the plant lacks moisture. It is recommended to regularly water the flower with warm, settled water.
Insufficient lighting is also the reason why the plant does not want to please the hostess with flowers. It is advisable to move the flowerpot to a brighter windowsill on the sunny side.
The problem of root rot requires replanting the plant. It should be removed from the pot, carefully inspect the roots and remove the rotten roots with a knife. And then transplanted into new soil, preferably previously disinfected and fertilized.
