After physical exertion and not only, yellow stains from sweat often appear on clothes.

The most unpleasant thing is that it is not always possible to get rid of them with the help of ordinary washing, especially if a person has increased sweating.

But the problem is solved quite simply, you just need to consider the old home methods of removing stains.

With their help, even a white T-shirt can be saved. Remember: the sooner you take action, the better your chances of getting rid of stains.

Household soap

The easiest way is to use household soap. Soap the contaminated area, gently rub with a soft brush, rinse with clean water.

There is another option, it is suitable for removing old stains and for natural fabrics that can be washed at high temperatures. It is more troublesome, but works without fail. It is necessary to take an aluminum pan, pour water into it, rub laundry soap so that after dissolving the water is well soapy. Boil dirty clothes in this water for 30 minutes. When the water has cooled, rinse the items in clean water and dry.

Baking soda

Soda is an ideal helper for removing any stains on white (and not only) things.

  • Combine 2 tablespoons of soda with the same amount of water, mix until you get a slurry.
  • Apply the slurry to the yellowed areas and gently wipe with a soft brush.
  • Leave for one and a half to two hours and wash the clothes.
  • Repeat the process as needed.

Hydrogen peroxide

It is recommended to use peroxide for silk fabrics.

  • Mix 10 ml of peroxide and 100 ml of water.
  • Wet the sweat stain with a soapy solution, and then apply a peroxide solution.
  • Rinse the treated area and moisten with acidified water (1 teaspoon of citric acid per glass of water).

Salt water

Salt, like soda, is often used in the household to clean textiles, especially for clothes made of silk, linen and cotton.

  • Dissolve a tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm water, soak problem areas in it.
  • Leave for 2 hours.
  • Wash clothes as usual.

Salt and ammonia

Ammonium alcohol helps to strengthen the effect of salt. It is necessary to act as in the previous case. Only a teaspoon of ammonia should be added to the saline solution. Clothes are soaked in a solution with ammonia for only 30 minutes.

All these methods work on colored clothes too, but make sure they don't ruin the color. Apply a little of the product to an inconspicuous place, hold and wash off with water. Dry and see if any marks remain.
