To prevent your iron from ruining things, you need to periodically check the cleanliness of its soleplate. It doesn't always make sense to buy special cleaning products, because you already have everything you need at home.
Method based on the use of vinegar
This method is not only effective, but also very gentle. It can even clean Teflon and ceramic coatings.
First, mix equal parts water and vinegar. Then, treat the sole and remove the cleaning agent.
Soda
This method has proven itself to be effective, but it is better not to use it to clean the delicate coating of the iron.
You need to mix two spoons of powder with the same amount of water. Distribute the product over the still warm soleplate of the iron. Remove it after a few minutes.
Milo
This method is great for irons with a Teflon coating. It is recommended to start by treating the heated soleplate with a piece of soap, preferably laundry soap.
Then turn off the iron and wait.
Then we remove the soap and evaluate the result.
