Most gardeners first dig up all the potatoes, and only then select the seed potatoes. But there is a "two-bucket" method that allows you to immediately select seed potatoes not only by size, but also by quality.
How to dig potatoes in two buckets
You will need 2 buckets of different colors or sizes and boxes for seed potatoes.
You also need to prepare a place where the potatoes will dry.
If the soil is dense, it is better to dig with a shovel, if it is loose, you can use a pitchfork.
When there is a good big bush of potatoes, we put large and small potatoes in one bucket, medium ones in another.
Medium potatoes will go to seed, they will continue the good tradition of giving a large harvest.
In this way, seeds from the best potato bushes are selected for planting.
Then we pour out the potatoes for drying, and put the seed potatoes in boxes.
