A chairlift collapsed at the Astún ski resort in Spain, injuring about 30 people, RTVE reported on Saturday, January 18.
It is reported that one of the chairlift cables broke, causing part of the structure to collapse. In total, about 30 people were injured, 17 of whom required medical attention. Three people, including two 18-year-old girls, were taken to hospital by helicopter.
Five helicopters, a fire brigade, and 14 ambulances were involved in the rescue operation.
