Concern "Electron" and Uzhhorod signed an agreement under which the Municipal Enterprise "Uzhhorod Municipal Transport" will receive 9 "Electron E181" electric buses and a powerful charging station with the ability to simultaneously charge ten electric buses.
Thus, Uzhhorod will become the first city in Ukraine to carry out a comprehensive purchase of electric buses. The purchase of electric buses is being carried out following the results of an international tender, where the Electron concern was recognized as the winner.

Uzhhorod's purchase of Ukrainian electric buses is being implemented in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the "Urban Public Transport" project. The contract amount is 3,9 million euros, financed by an EIB loan on preferential terms - at 2,75% per annum.
The “Electron E181” electric buses are modern, environmentally friendly urban transport designed to carry up to 90 passengers. The body material is stainless steel, and the chassis uses units from the German concern ZF Friedrichshafen AG, one of the world's leading manufacturers in the field of transmission and chassis technologies.

Support for fast-charging battery packs of the electric bus has also been announced, allowing the battery to be recharged to 70% of its capacity in 15-20 minutes.
According to the Uzhhorod City Council, currently about 16 thousand passengers are transported daily by the “Electron” brand passenger transport. And when electric buses enter the streets, this figure will increase to 30 thousand passengers per day.
