Three people are in hospital in serious condition
Since the beginning of the year, police have confiscated more than 32 tons of counterfeit alcohol and detained nine suspects after mass poisonings.
In Turkey, 14 citizens of Uzbekistan have died in the past three days as a result of drinking counterfeit alcohol, Uzbek Foreign Ministry spokesman Akhror Burkhanov said, Russian media reported.
Referring to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Ankara, he noted that three citizens of the country are being treated in intensive care units of hospitals in Istanbul. They are in serious condition.
It is noted that since the beginning of the year, police have confiscated more than 32 tons of counterfeit alcohol and detained nine suspects after mass poisonings. In total, 88 people in Turkey have been poisoned by counterfeit alcohol, 37 of whom have died.
