The Ministry of Finance said whether it is planned to increase taxes in 2025

In 2025, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine does not plan to propose an increase in taxes.

Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko stated this on the air of the telethon, Glavkom writes.

According to Finance Minister Marchenko, there are no plans to raise taxes in 2025. However, the law on new rates for FOPs has already been signed.

"At this time next year, we do not plan to propose a tax increase. We prefer to avoid these steps in the near future, because we understand that these are quite painful steps for the citizens of Ukraine and for businesses that are trying to survive in these conditions.", - said Serhiy Marchenko.

It is worth noting that the law on increasing taxes entered into force on December 1. The main thing in it was an increase in the rate of military tax on all incomes of Ukrainians from 1,5% to 5%. In addition, the law obliges private entrepreneurs to pay military tax. They will do it from January 1.

The minister noted that the increase in taxes this year was a forced step that was a compromise.

"And this year, I'm sorry, we have no other sources than to finance our armed forces through taxes. Volumes of internal borrowings also have their nature and certain limitations. That is, we cannot endlessly inflate borrowing, we had to rely on some stable base"Marchenko added.
