Dmitry Peskov does not like the 100-year agreement between Ukraine and Great Britain
Dmitry Peskov is worried about future military cooperation between Ukraine and the UK in the Sea of Azov, which he considers Russia's "internal sea."
Russia is "concerned" about the possibility of British military infrastructure being deployed in Ukraine as part of the 100-year partnership agreement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday, January 17.
"This is not a position that guarantees membership in the Alliance. Although, given that Britain is a NATO country, the advancement of its military infrastructure towards our borders is an element that is quite worrying," he said at a briefing, commenting on the relevant clause of the agreement between Ukraine and Great Britain.
According to Peskov, "we will need to further analyze what will happen."
The spokesman was also asked how the Kremlin reacted to the clause in the agreement that concerns the expansion of military cooperation between Ukraine and Great Britain in the Sea of Azov.
"Negative. This is Russia's 'internal' sea. There can hardly be any interaction between Ukraine and Great Britain there," he replied.
