According to the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine", the warm winter in the mountains of Bukovina has forced bears to abandon their winter hibernation. They are traveling through hunting grounds in search of food.
But these predators also find time for fun. One of the brown bears was captured by a camera trap while having fun at the feeding ground of the Putylsky Forestry Department.

About this Branch "Podilsky Forest Office".
Despite the night and the snow, the bear visited the place where the hunters put out food for the deer and roe deer. There he found a bale of hay, started rolling it and even tried to climb on it.
"There is enough natural food in the forest, so bears do not approach human settlements. They follow their usual routes and do not pose a danger to people."
"In addition, at the slightest suspicion of danger, they immediately run away," notes Ruslan Rudy, leading hunting expert at the Podilskyi Forest Office branch.
Last year, 35 brown bears were counted during an animal census in the hunting grounds of Bukovina. A new census will begin soon to find out how the number of these predators has changed in the Chernivtsi region.
