The World Economic Forum will continue until January 24
Representatives from over 130 countries will participate in the forum, including more than 60 heads of state and government.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) is starting in Davos, Switzerland, and will last until January 24. Euronews reported this on Monday.
The theme of this year's forum is "Collaborating for the Intelligent Age." World leaders will discuss issues such as geoeconomic uncertainty, artificial intelligence, rethinking growth, and protecting the planet.
The event is expected to attract around 3 guests from over 130 countries. Around 350 government officials, including 60 heads of state and government, from all key regions will also be present in Davos.
Among the leading political leaders who will participate: Donald Trump, the US President-elect (who will join via video link for an interactive dialogue with participants) and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, leaders from Europe, Africa, South America and Asia.
More than 1600 business leaders, including more than 900 executives from leading companies and WEF partner companies, will also participate in the event.
The World Economic Forum in Davos is one of the most influential international events, bringing together world leaders, entrepreneurs and experts to discuss pressing global issues such as economics, technology and ecology. This year's forum will be important in the context of global changes and economic challenges.
