One of the most common factors of feeling bad after a night's sleep is the effect on the body of light from gadget screens.
A good, high-quality sleep is the basis for the proper functioning of the body, but many people complain that in the morning, despite the sleep, they feel tired and in a bad mood instead of the proper influx of energy.
Here are the three most common causes of this condition, according to scientists.
Electronic devices before bed. Several studies have shown that people who use electronic devices before bed have a harder time waking up in the morning, unlike those who read a printed paper book before bed.
According to available data, the blue light emitted by smartphones and tablets suppresses the normal production of melatonin, the sleep hormone. For the sake of quality sleep, doctors advise turning off all electronic devices an hour and a half before bedtime.
In general, doctors emphasize, it is important for a person to sleep at night in true darkness, without even scattered light from household lamps or street lighting entering the room.
Wrong pillow. Another reason that explains fatigue and brokenness after sleep. An unsuitable pillow contributes to spinal curvature, neck pain, and headaches.
Experts remind: the pillow should support the head and neck, but not the shoulders. Its height should match the width of the shoulder. People who prefer to sleep on their backs should avoid a pillow under their head.
Inappropriate posture. One of the worst is on the stomach. Because of it, you can wake up in the morning with a pain in the neck, especially if the pillow is too high or too low. Also, the wrong position of the body during sleep can cause shoulder pain (for example, if a person sleeps on his side with his head on his hand) or lower back pain (after sleeping on his stomach).
