US President-elect Donald Trump has told his advisers that he wants to visit China after taking office. This could happen in the coming months, The Wall Street Journal and Reuters reported on Saturday, January 18.
According to one WSJ source, Trump has expressed interest in traveling to China within his first 100 days in office.
The publication also added that Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed the possibility of a personal meeting through their representatives. One option is to invite the Chinese leader to the United States.
At the same time, US Secretary of State candidate Marco Rubio recently stated that China is a threat to the US. In his opinion, these threats from Beijing are the "strongest and most dangerous" in American history.
