Pumpkin is one of the most favorite foods for millions of Ukrainians. And it's not just that! First, it's delicious and goes well with savory and sweet dishes. Second, it's low in calories. That is, if pumpkin takes up most of the dish and doesn't contain excess sugar, it will help you lose weight. And pumpkin is also very healthy. This vegetable contains a lot of vitamins that a person needs. And it's very easy to prepare.

Save one of the best pumpkin side dish recipes. First, cut the pumpkin (you will need 1 kg) into “slices” about 3 cm thick, peel these “slices” and cut into small cubes. Throw the sliced pumpkin into a deep bowl, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to it and mix well. The starch is needed so that the pieces hold their shape well during and after baking.
In another bowl, mix 4 tablespoons of oil (you can take sunflower, you can olive), half a teaspoon of ground pepper (black or mixed), salt, a mixture of Italian herbs and oregano. You also need to crush 1 clove of garlic and add to the total mass. Mix the oil with spices well and add everything to the pumpkin. If desired, you can also add thyme and increase the amount of garlic if you love it.

Stir the pumpkin pieces so that they are completely covered with oil and spices and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C. If your oven has a convection mode, then you should definitely turn it on. With this function, the pumpkin will bake better and have a nice crust. Before serving, the finished pumpkin should be sprinkled with grated Parmesan.
