The priest of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) Yaroslav Yasenets addressed the employees of the TCC, urging them to pray to St. John for help in finding those who evade military service. He explained that St. John is the patron saint of warriors and has helped find missing persons in the past, including runaway slaves. Yasenets also noted that although modern slavery has been abolished, the concept of "evader" has become blurred and is being manipulated. He emphasized the importance of the TCC service, but asked for mercy and to avoid cruel methods of detention.

The priest emphasized that he himself prays for the ZSU and TCC employees and conducts spiritual conversations with them. In his statement, Yasenets acknowledged the existence of problems in the Armed Forces and the TCC, but believes that this should not lead to giving up the war. The video, in which Yasenets addressed the TCC, caused mixed reactions in social networks, in particular, criticism for the TCC's support.
