"The first tanks in the M1A2SEPv3 Abrams version are already in Poland. 28 Abrams tanks will undergo inspection after being transported by sea, and then they will be delivered to the Polish army. In total, we will have 250 such Abrams tanks," said Kosiniak-Kamysh.
The Polish Ministry of Defense has purchased 250 Abrams tanks in a new version for approximately $4,75 billion. The Polish army already has 116 Abrams tanks of older models.
It should be noted that in 2022, Poland signed an agreement with the United States to supply 250 modernized M1A2 Abrams tanks in 2025-2026. Warsaw later announced that it had reached an agreement with Washington to supply another 116 M1A1 tanks that were in service. Polish crews have already been trained on similar American combat vehicles in the country in 2022.
The Polish Ministry of Defense also signed a contract with the American corporation General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for the supply of MQ-9B SkyGuardian reconnaissance drones.
