The National Guard has received a batch of Slovak-made Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns. The volume of deliveries for January 2025, according to open sources, is 10-16 units. In total, the NGU should receive 24 such vehicles.

Details
This model of self-propelled guns is equipped with a 155 mm cannon with a range of 41 km. The automatic loading system supports the MRSI mode, which allows several shells to hit the target simultaneously.

At a weight of 34 tons, the howitzer remains maneuverable thanks to the Tatra power plant, which provides a speed of up to 90 km/h and a range of 600 kilometers.
The arrival of the Zuzana 2 is a significant step forward for Ukrainian artillery, which has previously relied on shorter-range, post-Soviet systems. The new self-propelled guns allow Ukrainian soldiers to fire from safe distances without losing effectiveness.
Further deliveries of Zuzana 2 look doubtful due to the confrontation of the Slovak leadership with its Ukrainian counterparts. Czech DITA artillery systems or modified versions of DANA are being considered as alternatives.
