Skoda continues to prove its expertise in creating excellent seven-seat SUVs, and the Kodiaq model only confirms this success. Therefore, it is understandable that the company is working on an electric version that implements the innovative design of the Vision 7S concept presented a few years ago. This is reported by UAmotors.
What is known about the new car?
The Vision 7S concept not only envisioned a new model, but also introduced the “Modern Solid” style that will become the basis for all future Skoda electric cars. This style is already embodied in the production Skoda Elroq, which was introduced at the end of 2024, as well as in the modernized Skoda Enyaq after a major redesign.
In 2023, Skoda unveiled the “Space” sculpture, which gave further clues about the design of the upcoming electric seven-seat SUV. Prototypes of this model were spotted testing in the harsh conditions of northern Sweden. This confirms that the new car will have characteristic design elements of the Vision 7S, including a narrow “Tech Deck” grille that integrates sensors, radars and cameras, as well as a pixel design of the daytime running lights.
Skoda's new electric SUV will be around 4,9 meters long, making it the brand's largest car. The model is expected to use the MEB platform, an 86 kWh battery that will provide a range of over 600 km, and support for fast charging from 10 to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The electric SUV is expected to go on sale in 2027.
