Violets are considered one of the most popular houseplants, so they can be found in almost every home.
But it happens that an outwardly healthy flower increases its green mass, but does not bloom. A year or two passes, but there are still no flowers.
Details
There are four actions that need to be taken if the violet still cannot bloom.
Lighting
The light day for violets should last at least 10 hours. In the summer, the plants are placed on the sunny side. And in the winter, violets need additional lighting. Without it, they will not die, but they will not bloom during this period.
Soil moisture
Moderate soil moisture. The soil should not be allowed to dry out. At the same time, watering is carried out so that water does not get on the leaves. Warm water is used to moisten the soil.
Substrate quality
Violets are sensitive to the soil in which they are planted. Only those people who have experience in growing these flowers should prepare the soil themselves. In other cases, it is better to purchase a ready-made substrate in a store.
Indoor temperature
A comfortable temperature for violets is considered to be +18…+24°C. You don’t need to create such conditions in an apartment, because this is normal room temperature. But it is important to make sure that the violets are not affected by drafts during cold periods, otherwise they will definitely not bloom.
