Simply put, a burger and all its culinary derivatives are the same bun with a patty, cheese, and greens. But there are a few significant differences that make fast food food much tastier than a regular sandwich, and one of them is the sauce.
For cooking you need:
- 4 Art. l. mayonnaise;
- 0,5 Art. l. mustard;
- 1 tsp hot sauce;
- orange peel;
- juice of 3 oranges;
- 2 tbsp. l. granulated sugar.
How to cook
The amount of sauce depends on the amount of juice squeezed from the oranges. On average, you will need 1 cup of juice.
Add 1 tbsp. without a slide of sugar to it and heat over low heat until evaporated to obtain orange caramel.
While the juice is evaporating, mix the remaining ingredients: mayonnaise, mustard, hot sauce, and zest.
As soon as the caramel is ready, it should be immediately added to the finished mixture.
Voila, as the French say, the American sauce for a real burger is ready. The filling depends on the chef's imagination. As a rule, the ingredients include a patty, cheese, tomatoes, herbs and, of course, a bun.
Bon appetit!
