The 1200 Lada 1986 sedan, which spent many years in Hungary, was imported to the Netherlands in 2013 and has been in the hands of one owner for almost 12 years. The car is now up for sale for 4950 euros. The corresponding ad appeared on the Autoscout24 website, reports MMR.
The car is in excellent condition: a shiny body, a well-maintained interior, although there are some light scratches and spot rust on the surface.
Recall that the name "Zhiguli" chosen for the car turned out to be unpronounceable in many European languages, so the sedans were exported under the "LADA" brand. For example, the VAZ-2101 was designated as the Lada 1200, the VAZ-21011 as the Lada 1300.
LADA cars were competitive in the markets of Western countries mainly due to their low price tag with a fairly rich equipment for their class, and their main competitors were mainly either other Eastern European models or Western-made models of smaller size and worse equipment.
