Renault has provided another update on its stylish new Twingo city car following the recent interior reveal at the Brussels Motor Show.
The brand's CEO, Fabrice Camboliv, said that the French company "will fight to bring Twingo to the UK," although a decision on whether to sell the electric car in that market has not yet been made.
If the model does make it to the UK market, it could become one of the cheapest electric cars, with prices likely to start at less than €20 (around £000).

Kamboliv believes the Twingo “has the potential to attract loyal customers among former Renault Zoe and Twingo buyers.” Renault stopped selling the Zoe in 2024 after 11 years in showrooms, and the third-generation Twingo, available as an electric car until 2024, was never sold in the UK.
In November 2023, Renault presented the Twingo E-Tech Electric concept, showcasing the exterior of the new model, while the interior, presented in Belgium, gives a glimpse of the “future Twingo, which will hit the market in 2026.”
The interior of the new Renault model features a well-thought-out design with an attractive dashboard, complemented by two large digital displays. The central 10,1-inch screen houses the infotainment system, while the 7-inch display acts as a digital instrument cluster.
Modern and retro elements of the interior are harmoniously combined. For example, the hazard warning button is reminiscent of the original Twingo, and the new instrument panel has a cylindrical shape.
Renault has also retained the versatility of the first-generation Twingo: there's a storage space under the dashboard and a shelf for small items that runs the width of the cabin. The rear seats have a sliding and folding mechanism that allows them to be fully folded flat to increase luggage space.
Colour remains an important element of Twingo's appeal, as it was in the original model. The interior of the car is in harmony with its exterior, and the floor is made of a material with "colour splashes" that creates a pleasant atmosphere.
Interior innovations include magnetic panels on the back of the front seat headrests for attaching smartphones or tablets, as well as elastic straps for securing maps or water bottles.
There are also changes to the Twingo's exterior design: the wheel arch extensions have been reduced in size, a new air intake has been added, and the black inserts on the bumpers are now made using 3D printing.
