
Polestar has introduced a new line of Arctic Circle (“polar circle”). Under this sub-brand, off-road versions of Volvo electric cars will be produced. This was reported on the company’s website, Focus writes.
Currently, the Arctic Circle family includes three electric cars – they will be shown to the public during the FAT Ice Race in Austria. The Polestar 2 sedan, as well as the Polestar 3 and 4 crossovers, have received off-road variants. It is not yet known which models will become serial.
Polestar Arctic Circle electric cars have received additional diode optics, new mudguards and Pirelli off-road tires on OZ Racing wheels with a diameter of 19 or 20 inches.
In addition, the electric cars were equipped with ski mounts, and roof racks were installed on the Polestar 2 and 3. Recaro Pole Position sports seats appeared in the cabin.
All electric cars are equipped with all-wheel drive twin-motor systems. The Polestar 2 Arctic Circle has a power of 476 hp, the Polestar 3 has 517 hp, and the Polestar 4 has 544 hp.
In addition, the new Polestar Arctic Circle has received reinforced Öhlins adjustable shock absorbers and struts that increase body rigidity. The ground clearance of the Polestar 2 has been increased by 30 mm, the Polestar 3 by 40 mm, and the Polestar 4 by 20 mm.
