Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya told reporters about this at the scene, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, 76 people died. It is impossible to describe our pain. May they rest in peace. I express my condolences to the families, to our dear nation,” said Ali Yerlikaya.
The bodies of 45 of the deceased have been identified by their relatives. The identification of the remaining deceased is ongoing.
The number of people detained in connection with the incident has increased to 9.
"Our inspectors have arrived, and the process of operating this hotel from day one to today is being studied in detail. If there is any mistake or negligence, know that it will be detected," the minister emphasized.
According to him, the search and rescue operation has been completed.
