A domestic cat named Mittens became the hero of an unusual story, making three flights between New Zealand and Australia in just one day.

The cat's owner, Margo Nees, was planning to move to Australia with her family and pet. Mittens was placed in a special cage that was supposed to be transported with luggage. However, due to a staff error, the cat was left on the plane after the first flight.

The plane flew back to New Zealand, and Mittens found himself on an unplanned journey. The crew made sure the animal was comfortable, moving him to business class and turning on the extra heating. After that, the cat made the return flight and finally arrived in Melbourne, where he was happily reunited with his family.
