About 800 tons of fuel were destroyed during the attack on Engels.

On the night of January 14, Ukraine launched a massive combined strike on the territory of the Russian Federation.

This was reported on Radio NV by aviation expert and electronic warfare equipment manufacturer Anatoly Khrapchinsky.

"Both aviation and artillery installations were involved to launch ATACMS missiles. Unmanned systems were also directly involved. Given the distance, it becomes clear that 1000 km is no longer a problem for Ukraine to overcome at the expense of its own developments," said Khrapchinsky.

At the same time, the expert noted that the main thing in this strike is not the explosions and fires, but the result. After all, each such strike has strategic importance for the occupiers.

"If we talk about the burning base in Saratov near Engels, this is about 800 thousand tons of fuel. To understand, this is 900 flight shifts of an aviation group of 21 Tu-95/Tu-160 aircraft. This is 900 such combat sorties. Of course, there are fuel reserves at the airfields themselves. At the same time, about 100 thousand tons of fuel can be stored at the airfield itself in Engels. But the strikes are not only on the bases, but also on production facilities," the expert added.
