In Britain, photo spies spotted a mysterious prototype that visually resembled a Porsche Cayenne. However, the license plates and other external features made them doubt that this was a new product from Porsche. And for good reason.
As it became known, Bentley's first electric car was tested in incognito mode. This is a compact crossover that will reach a length of less than 5 meters and will take a place in the brand's lineup below the Bentayga. It will not replace any of the brand's models, but will complement them. Bentley CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser described this electric novelty as "the first true luxury urban crossover" that will create a completely new segment in the market.
According to insiders, the as-yet unnamed electric crossover will be based on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform, which also underpins the Porsche Macan EV, Audi Q6 e-tron and A6 e-tron. The model is likely to be equipped with two electric motors with a total output of 630 hp, and the range will be provided by a 100 kWh battery. Bentley is expected to introduce the electric car at the end of 2026, and it will go on sale only in 2027.
