It is known that taking a bath helps to strengthen health and reduce the risk of developing diseases. To do this, you need to take it every day.
A team of scientists led by Shinya Hayasaki, professor and dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Tokyo City University, observed 14 elderly people for three years. The age of the participants was 65 years and older.
It found that elderly people who took a bath every day were 29% less likely to need health care than those who bathed less than twice a week.
According to the results of a study in which about 30 people aged 40-50 years participated, taking a bath every day reduces the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction.
Bathing has three effects on the body. It is floating, thermal and hydraulic. The most important of them is thermal. When blood vessels expand, blood circulation improves, metabolism accelerates, and fatigue decreases. As a result, the load on the heart decreases, and blood pressure drops.
It is best to take a bath in this way. You need to swim for 10 minutes in water with a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. However, if you submerge only half in the water, the time spent in it increases to 20 minutes.
