Traffic rules in many countries are similar, but there are also unique elements. One of them is a new road sign with a black arrow in a red frame on a white background. It raises questions among drivers unfamiliar with its meaning, writes U-news.
This sign obliges drivers of cars and trucks to keep to the far right lane. The left lane must be left free for vehicles moving at a higher speed. This measure helps to regulate traffic and increase safety on high-traffic roads.
The road sign is widely used in South American countries and the United States. For example, in the United States, the inscription "Keep Right" is often added to the sign to indicate to drivers that they must occupy the right lane.
Such signs are not yet used in Europe and Ukraine. However, given their popularity overseas, it is possible that they may later be introduced into European traffic regulations to improve the efficiency of road traffic management.
