The German government has transferred about 100 vehicles to the National Police and National Guard of Ukraine, which will be used to protect public order and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.

The handover ceremony took place on Wednesday with the participation of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Martin Jaeger.

Klymenko thanked German partners for their unwavering support for Ukraine and emphasized that the transferred aid package will strengthen the units of the National Police and the National Guard and contribute to the protection of citizens from crime and the protection of critical infrastructure facilities.

According to him, Germany's invaluable assistance will allow us to continue to perform the main functions of protecting Ukrainian citizens from crime at a high level and will provide the opportunity to quickly respond to the challenges that arise every day.

"Unfortunately, due to the war, these challenges are increasing, but thanks to you, this response will be faster and more professional," Klymenko noted.

According to Jaeger, it is an honor for him to be in Ukraine and personally deliver the assistance that will be sent to the Security and Defense Forces of the National Guard and the National Police of Ukraine.
