The woman thought she was sick, but suddenly it turned out that it was time for her to give birth.

Kaylee Tilley waved at her pets as their moms took them home for the holiday break. It was Christmas Eve, and the sight of their delighted little faces made her job as a teacher all the more enjoyable. The Mirror writes about it.

Kaylee loved her work and her colleagues, with whom she enjoyed a wonderful festive evening on December 7.

Looking back, her 2024 was a great year. She was in Dublin for a few days in July with her boyfriend, charity worker Nick Jerome, and some friends. Then she was in heaven when she and Nick went to Turkey in October.

She says: “When Nick and I got home from our trip, I started feeling sick and started having body cramps. I felt so terrible that I consulted a doctor online who said it was probably rotavirus. Fortunately, it passed in a few days."

She says she was fully recovered by Christmas: "The plan was to stay at Nick's and after we woke up and opened the presents we would all go to the pub for dinner and drinks with our families."

But on Christmas Day, Kaylee woke up in agony.

"It was 11 in the morning and as soon as I got out of bed I knew something was wrong," she says.

Feeling something running down her leg, she rushed to the toilet and realized it was blood.

"At first I thought that my critical days must have begun. I've had an irregular cycle for years, sometimes going months without anything."

But the bleeding continued, getting heavier, and the pain was much worse than menstrual cramps.

Nick interjects, “I went into the bathroom to see what was going on since she was in there for so long. I could see right away that she was scared. I didn't know what was going on, so I called my mom, Karen."

Her partner called 111 and an ambulance arrived 30 minutes later.' Feeling pain and terror, Kaylee tried to stay calm.

"I couldn't see anything, but I heard the words 'birth' and 'take over.' "Today you will have a child," the girl shares.

Kaylee said they weren't always on birth control, but her stomach was still completely flat and she hadn't gained a pound.

"There was no morning sickness, no strange urges. My periods were irregular, but I had them. There must be some mistake,' she thought, because it was absolutely impossible.'

Meanwhile, Nick was still outside, panicking and having no idea what was going on.

After long hours, the girl managed to give birth. Poor Caylee needed blood transfusions, IVs and medication to treat her kidney and liver problems.

"It was not easy. But to see Nick holding his first daughter and mom holding her first grandchild was magical,” she says.
