Descendants found relics from the last century in their ancestors' house: what was there

Tami Nuxall from USA discovered amazing “relics” on her ancestral ranch in Oregon, which she has been renovating for the past three summers.

The woman shared photos of her findings on one of the thematic forums on Reddit, gathering many reactions and comments.

Tami recalls that her son Axel, who was 10 years old at the time, and his nephew Lucas, who is two years older than him, were the first to make this discovery while exploring the dungeon.

“The kids came to me with this shoe. Everyone was surprised and, to be honest, a little scared. It’s hard to say exactly how old it is. I saw shoes like this when I went to a museum as a child on a school trip. I’m happy to think that the shoe belonged to one of our ancestors, but even if it doesn’t, it’s still something special,” says Nuxall.

Tami's great-grandparents purchased the property in the late 1920s or early 30s, expanding the small 400-square-foot space to make it more livable.

During the restoration work in the house, relatives found other treasures from the past: an air rifle, coins, wagon wheels, old marbles, bone buttons, bottles, toys, a baseball, and even old records by Tom Petty and the American rock band Heart Breakers.

“There’s an old family legend. When my grandfather was a boy, he supposedly lost a gold coin somewhere in the yard near the house. We still haven’t found it, but we’re still looking,” adds Nuxall.
