This elegant sedan is based on the BMW M850i Gran Coupé, but has significantly more power and torque, leaving even the BMW M8 Competition behind.
The cost of the model in the UK is £191,300.
The new model delivers peak power of 625 hp and 850 Nm of torque, which is 13 hp and 50 Nm more than the standard B8 and exceeds the M8 Competition (616 hp and 750 Nm).
This is achieved thanks to the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which has received a revised engine management system and an improved exhaust.
Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed ZF transmission optimized for the extra power. The all-wheel drive system has a modified transfer case, and the rear axle is equipped with a revised electronic limited-slip differential.
The results of these changes are noticeable in the performance: the B8 GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,3 seconds, to 200 km/h in 10,4 seconds, and reaches a top speed of an impressive 204 mph (328 km/h).
Alpina has also made changes to the chassis, installing a new strut on the front axle to increase rigidity, as well as improving the suspension and steering software.
A high-performance braking system comes as standard, complemented by 21-inch forged alloy wheels with Alpina's signature multi-spoke design.
The exterior design uses carbon fiber on the front and rear bumper elements, as well as on the ventilation openings behind the front wheels.
Alpina offers classic blue and green paint shades, while five unique colors have been added for the GT. Twenty cars will receive the new two-tone design option. A new dark carbon finish is available exclusively for this model.
The interior combines leather and Alcantara on the seats and dashboard, but the standard B8 interior is available as an option. For a more luxurious look, customers can order the Lavalina trim.
