
In winter, the selection of fresh and affordable vegetables is quite small. And this means that it's time to cook beetroot dishes. Moreover, this root crop is quite inexpensive. It's just that many people don't know that beets can be used to make not only vinaigrette and herring under a fur coat, but also other, no less interesting and tasty salads. We will publish the recipe of one of them below.
Ingredients:
- Beet - 3 pcs. medium size
- Chicken fillet - 500 g
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Walnut kernels - 80 g
- Sil for Relish
- Mayonnaise - for dressing
Preparation:
First of all, we will prepare beets and chicken. Root crops are washed and boiled or baked until fully cooked. Boil the chicken fillet in salted water with spices. Let the beets and chicken cool completely. Peel the garlic and pass it through a press. Mix it with mayonnaise. The filling is ready.
Cut the chicken breasts into small cubes or separate them into fibers. Place on the bottom of a flat plate or salad bowl. Level well. Spread a couple of spoons of garlic mayonnaise on top and carefully spread it all over the chicken.
Clean the beets and grate them on a large grater. Lay out the second layer. A little salt and grease with mayonnaise. Lightly fry walnuts in a dry pan and chop with a knife. Sprinkle them on top of our salad.
We put the salad in the refrigerator to infuse and soak for at least 1-2 hours.
